the wheelmen http://www.thewheelmen.org/ show 3 different manufacturers of a Diamond brand on the bicycle brands list. It's a good place to start... by: 209.7.150.163 |
OK, I've checked the price guide here which shows a 1971 Schwinn Continental selling for $266, but that seems extremely high to me. Can anyone give me a suggestion (or heck an offer!) for what to price an early 1970s men's Schwinn Continental 10-speed at? It hasn't been ridden in years so the tires are surely rotten, and it needs a new brake cable too. Thanks in advance. by: 206.195.19.47 |
the thrift store here had one out on the sidewalk for a week marked $50 and I thought that was high. But it's not there now so maybe somebody disagreed. by: 209.7.150.163 |
Thanks Ken. Well, that's a pretty big range. So Old Roads says $266 but your thrift store says $50. Since you thought $50 was high, can you explain why a bit? IOW, I'm just wondering since I see all kinds of older bikes here that people seem to be asking/paying amounts that I think are too high for. I guess this is the hallmark of not being an aficionado, but I do wonder how to hone in on a fair price for my bike. Thanks for answering by: 206.195.19.49 |
