WANTED:   Need Roll Fast Information posted by: Angie B on 8/18/2008 at 5:11:00 PM
HI..I've "inherited" a Roll Fast bicycle that has been in a barn for many years. I'd LOVE to bring it back to life. I DO have a picture--but I'm not real computer savey--but I'd ba able to send pics to anyone who can email willing to help a girl out. It's a boys-26 inch-Roll Fast bike--many different coats of paint to strip off--a banana seat has been added--I hear that is NOT original. It's dated around the 1950's I believe. There is NOT a tank--light--basket-chainguard-fenders on it-but I went to a large book store to find an original picture or ANY given info on this bike and I couldn't find any. The rims are painted white--NOT sure if that is origianl or not. I'll need some new tires--paint job-pedals-clean some rusty handle bars--find an origianl seat..and I'm good to go...ha. My husband just shakes his head at me. If anyone can help me-or tell me where to find info on my own...I'm ready and willing to do the research. I like my "treasure"!

here's a link to bike collecting books
None specifically about Rollfast, and some of them really aren't worth the thirty bucks unless you've got the itch bad. Note one word, rollfast...
There are plenty of pictures in the oldroads picture database- where it says find this make. scroll down to rollfast and have a look.
here's a link to everything in the world of bikes
Don't miss the box at the bottom, "articles by sheldon brown and others"
...and here's a link to a zillion pictures of vintage bikes
The width of your tires, if they are correct, is important to identification.

and I forgot to mention, a little headshaking on the part of the spouse is normal and indicates that the spouse passed the IQ test that we with our basements full of rusty objects didn't. Welcome to the club.

FOR SALE:   1955 Schwinn Springer parts posted by: John on 8/18/2008 at 1:45:17 PM
I have a 1955 Schwinn that has the springer front end, tank, and luggage rack, also the front fender has a headlight on it. I think the bike is a bit too far gone rust wise to restore, but thought some of the parts might be of some value to someone. Email me and let's talk. Thanks. John

Who produced the HD bike, and where can I find the serial number? I believe it is late 80's early 90's

I purchased a Schwin Racer and it has the hat in the ring decal. What other bikes was this on, and was it a dealer dacal? Thanks
