AGE / VALUE:   Girls Road Runner. Female model of Dragstripper. posted by: Gary M on 8/11/2001 at 11:20:14 AM
Just got a Girls Road Runner. chaingaurd same as my Dragstripper chaingaurd. has a cool S bend in the seat bar, puts the back rest behind the seat. Front forks resemble a dirt bike, twin tubes from axles to top. seperate L+R handlebars. bars, and entire front end straight. nice clean white rims. the bike needs some rechroming, seat cover there for pattern, but poor. I am sure this is the girls model of the Dragstripper, would make an excellent source of hard to get parts. in case i am wrong on the make, and someone wants a cool project, the front fork bushings are unique to it. If you have a boys frame with a 5 1/2 in neck, or want a cool girls bike that the neighbors dont have, here it is. pics available

Hi guys,I got really bored the other day so I decided to make "the worlds smallest sting ray?"I want to put a shifter on it,but didnt only krates come with shifters?Any way,Its white, tall sissy bar, apehanger handle bars, fenders, banana seat, and rubber tires, fits on a quarter, made display and all,it resembles a cotton picker but with no springer,or 16" wheel on front, has the two bars that come down from the seat post.No pics yet, probally wont be because I have webtv.Bye for now.

FOR SALE:   columbia muscle bike posted by: todjob on 8/7/2001 at 2:51:46 PM
i can make out tripper on the chain guard so i will assume its a drag stripper its been spraybomed by a 12 year old (well he was at that time anyway)frame chainguard forks sprocket is in deal, handlebars r s/sp wheel seat is shot so im removing them unless you want them seat has a decent rally design for a pattern, not sure of its value so im taking offers and i will post here when its sold,i want rid of it so shoot me a price (it's not gold to me) email me direct.

if its a Dragstripper the chaingaurd will look like a locomotive engine. Iverson brand but most likely a columbia as you suspected

hi todjob. the tripper is made by columbia. i had a green one in great shape and it went on ebay a few months ago for $75. fun ride though and pretty fast. good luck.

Without researching, I think it's a 1998 Schwinn Reproduction. The K means Korea? If so, it's a good bike
to ride and to keep nice. I got a Korean repro Apple
Krate to do some neighborhood riding, and I love it.
But I heard Schwin got bought by Huffy the other day.
End of the Schwinn reproductions? Maybe that will increase
its value?
Set it up carefully and enjoy. I think even Dad would fit comfortably with the seat all the way up.
I'm no expert, but that's my two cents worth.

FOR SALE:   CCM Mustang 3spd Project posted by: Tom on 8/4/2001 at 10:04:11 PM
I have a CCM Mustang 3 spd project bike, frame, seat, rear fender, chain guard, rear Sturmey Archer 3spd wheel "71", crank and pedals. The bike is gold, mint rear fender and chainguard. The sissy bar is pitted and has some rust, seat is poor. The frame is good no dents, some scratches and a little surface rust. NO shifter, front wheel, front fender, handle bar, or brakes. I would prefer to sell whole but will part out if not sold whole.
