I currently have a black 5 speed 74 Apollo that I have held onto for sentimental value. The bike is in 8/10 condition and I am interested in using it more frequently. The original rims are beyond repair, respoke etc. I am interested in finding a NOS set, a good tight used set or maybe a reproduction wheel. Feel free to E-mail me with ideas/offers.

Does anyone know anything about this bike? I just got one and it is pretty rough, but pretty much all there. Please help me out if you can.

Hi, I owned one in 1973 and I reckon that was the year it was put in the market. Gios is an Italian bycicle make. I'm sorry I cannot help you with the value, but I'm sure it did not stay long in production, as chopper bikes stopped being all the craze in a matter of a couple of years, at least in Italy. I'll be glad to supply you with more details in case you needed them.

Good Day... I realize your posting is 3 years old, but I just took posession of a Playbike 88 in unrestored condition that was stored inside. It is missing the seat and front fender. It is a one speed model, with the original Kelly Springfield whitewall tires, that still hold air! The rear fender is undamaged. I'm asking $125 plus shipping from NH (03033). I can send you photos.

AGE / VALUE:   Iverson Drag Stripper posted by: Doug Edwards on 12/8/2003 at 2:26:50 AM
O.K. I have a Drag Stripper, that was someone's project that is now mine. I have a PROBLEM. It is a 3 speed stick shift. It has a Sturmey Archer 3 speed coaster brake hub on it, that accepts the chain and rod piece but the screw piece coming out of the shifter is to large but it does fit the other kind of 3 speed piece that fits on the hub of a different bike. I guess my main question would what did the bike come with originally. I don't think it was sturmey archer????? Please HELP!!!!!!
