I have a lime green Rollfast three speed 20" muscle bike. Ive had it for some time now. Im not sure of the year nor the model. Ive looked on the internet for about a year now and ive only found about 2 listings of sold bicycles but no pictures. I was wondering if anybody had any information on my bicycle. Ive posted a picture in the bicycle owner ad digest section on this website. Heres a link if you cannot find it.... http://oldroads.com/oldwebs.asp?uploadid=132 thanks a lot for any help Nick by: 24.58.237.163 |

I just picked up a nos 20" Firestone Flame GTO at an auction. The bike has never been assembled and is in perfect NOS condition. The seat, pedals etc. are still sealed in their plastic bags. Can anybody give me any info on these? It looks like a Huffy slingshot frame (with the two top tubes). Did Huffy make these? Were they sold through Firestone dealerships? When were they manufactured? Any info would be greatly appreciated. by: 65.25.26.229 |
Huffy definately made bikes for Firestone. The NE Muscle bike musuem has a Firestone GTO Flame, but it uses a Stingray style frame. by: 24.211.192.21 |
We've made a first pass at a serial number lookup program where you can click on the make of the bicycle, enter the serial number, and magically get the year of manufacture. Right now it only works for post-1957 Schwinns, but over the winter we should be able to add Raleigh, Columbia and Huffy bicycles, as well as others where the serial number can be determined by a formula - please email your suggestions. Cut and paste this link to try it: http://oldroads.com/serial_number_lookup.aspx Vin - VVVintage Vintage Bicycles, Inc. http://OldRoads.com by: 172.133.62.227 |
Nice bike going off today on ebay without a reserve. Someone is going to get a deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=420&item=2283226035 by: 146.152.216.1 |
Hi, I'm looking for a set of the "odd" 1966 schwinn stingray handlebars, the ones like on the delux stingray here: http://oldroads.com/pqdb_img.asp?p=http://members.aol.com/VVVintage2/disp/deluxe.gif&mod=Sting-Ray_Deluxe&mak=Schwinn conditon of the bars doesn't matter, rust is fine, as there going to be spray painted for one of my crazy bicycle creations. also, I have a 20" Iverson girls bike from the 60's or 70's. it was a cool semi metalic purple, has a pinkish purple glitter banana seat, fairly tall handle bars, fat chrome fenders, really fat wheels, rear is a two speed kickback coaster brake that doesn't work. the chain gaurd, that somewhat resemebles a train (awesome chain gaurd) read "Charger by Iverson" and has a big aluminum headbage that also says "Iverson" with sort of a rocket behinde it. the frame looks like most curved girls frames from the 60's but this one is more kinked then curved. any idea what year its from or if its worth anything?? (condion is somewhat fair) it really seems like a junky bike as the drop outs are pulling out of the rest of the frame and where they mount has cracks. (will require some welding....) Actually, they don't all start with 'A'. The first letter is the month. A = Jan, B = Feb, ... by: 138.26.156.139 |
