I just picked up a new Wallmart Schwinn Stingray Orange County Chopper,20 X 41/4 rear tire).Floor model needs some cleaning up but no damage. At an $80 investment is this something I might be able to resell to generate a little income to support my 2 wheel habit?I have the option to pick up 3 more for the same price per piece.I really don't have a clue about these. Thanks, all these forums are great! i am guessing wholesale on that item to be in the $40 range. When it comes to buying bikes in bulk they are cheap. The wally world here had 2 of them in the entryway last week for $50. i would not pay $80 for a devalued item, and with the glut of knock offs on the shelves, you will see those stingrays at $100 new in the box soon. by: 68.188.222.250 |
Thanks Gary,I've come to that conclusion. They are impractical, size restricted, heavy, but kind of cool looking. Wanna buy a bike?? by: 24.58.64.136 |
Hi Just bought a 1976 Mark 2 Chopper the other day, made in SOUTH AFRICA. Its in pretty good condition, you can view it on http://www.oldbikes.741.com I am missing a chainguard though. Any ideas where/how I can get one since I live in South Africa? Now my next mission is to find a Mark 1 Chopper in good condition. Once the old bike bug bites you just can't stop! by: 155.232.250.51 |
whoah man - that is one nice rare chopper you have there!! it's a mk2 sure, but check out the mk1 type round top sissy bar, and that colour - it's very rare to find the dark purple on a mk1 - I have never seen it on a mk2!! I have a friend who makes repro chainguards - please feel free to email me for more info on your bike - keyzkev (@hotmail.com) cheers!! - kev by: 193.62.43.125 |
