I have two unusual shifters for a bike. They have two levers side by side each labels H and L. They are Shimano and the levers have the 333 on them. I have never seen anything like these. They go on the center tube. Please help me, when did they first make the 333 3 speed system? Any value here or just pitch them? by: 71.115.59.72 |

I am in possesion of a purple Sears Spyder single speed bicyle in decent condition. I am not sure if it is the 500 model or not as it has no hand brakes, only the crank assembly for brakes. If someone has any info on this bike and it's value, I would really appreciate it. Thanks by: 70.247.54.31 |
Hi I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if the 1968 Sears Screamer only came in Gold or were there other color options....and if so was there a Blue color? Thanks, Patrick by: 68.102.169.133 |
Does anyone out there know anything about a sting ray bicycle, made by Coast to Coast (old chain of hardware stores)called an Apollo Racer??? It had a white, banana seat, butterfly handle bars, unique double tube frame?? I had one when I was a kid and would be interested in buying one if I could find one. Thanks by: 207.32.3.137 |
I grew up in Mississippi and had an Apollo Racer as a kid. My dad bought it at Western Auto. That bike was the coolest thing I had ever seen and the name was so awesome at the time. I found your message while I was online look for the bike also. I have checked ebay and craigslist but have had no luck. by: 68.104.236.18 |
I could be wrong, but the Ross bicycle company of Pennsylvania made a very nice musclebike called the Apollo. The Apollo Racer is probably the same bike. I presume that this bike was also branded to be sold by chain stores such as Coast-To-Coast and Western Auto. There is a long history of this practice in the bicycle industry, with giants such as Schwinn and Raleigh rebadging their models for retail chains to use as their "house brand" bikes. by: 68.175.99.81 |
I have a Red 1968 Ross Apollo Racer. Single Speed, 100% original. very nice, cool bike. Coast stores may have sold them with a sticker added. by: 24.231.151.109 |
I have a redish orange one up in the garage loft. I thought they were long gone, but when I was putting on a new roof I foundthem. The roof leaked so there is rust. I think everything is original. Not sure how to post a picture, butif I figure it out, I will. by: 69.142.217.212 |
